Creating a environmentally friendly package design for Pop Mart

This project included learning objectives for package design, we were asked to think strategically and conceptualize a design that is environmentally a better choice, unique, eye-catching, and directly appealing to the target audience. We chose to focus on the growing industry of mini figures, and more specifically the company Pop Mart. For purposes of a consecutive design, our mockup features Pop Mart’s “The Wizarding World Magic Props Series”.

The approach of this package design is to make it more sustainable and eliminate the use of single use plastics. By including an insert to display the pieces it is also giving more functionality to the packaging. The idea is to eliminate the need for plastic use to prevent damage from shipping and handling by including a multi-use insert to both provide extra cushioning in the package and to display the piece inside. thee other change made was the glue tabs, instead of being plain and straight they are the shape of the golden snitch to portray the theme of the collection. Thee design has a good amount of white space, the necessary information on the box, and the full collection for the theme displayed, as well as a blank shape for the mystery figure.
